Research
Ana Paula concentrates her research interests in the field of Piano Pedagogy. In addition to her blog, Pianolândia, where she addresses themes related to piano teaching, she develops research on the pedagogical aspects of Chiquinha Gonzaga's pieces. In her research, she analyses pianistic aspects of Gonzaga's works that contribute to the technical, musical and reading development of piano students and classifies Chiquinha's works in levels of difficulty. In addition, she always tries to include the composer's works in her recitals. She has already presented a poster and a lecture on the subject and has articles published in American periodicals (Piano Magazine and MTNA e-Jounal). In her published works, he analysed Brazilian tangos and waltzes by Gonzaga and she currently focuses on the study of her polkas. Ana Paula intends to approach all of Gonzaga's works from a pedagogical point of view, encouraging teachers to include these pieces in students' repertoire.
